Can someone check the rules in TX, could BO use his DC address on tax returns and IL address on TX application?

Orly,
Obama used the White address on his income tax return but used his Chicago address on his Texas primary application.
Is this a precedent? Is it legal?

The address one uses on his/her tax return is the physical location from which the return is filed. It does not indicate residency or domicile.
Chicago is the Obamas’ domicile. Washington DC was where they were living on April 15.
As a legal matter, this was settled in the Rahm Emanuel litigation — domicile is the place that one considers “home” and where he will return after government service is ended.
Charles is chasing a dead end.
