Establishment senators such as Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) remain opposed to the House’s American Health Care Act (AHCA), while conservative senators such as Rand Paul (R-KY), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Mike Lee (R-UT) want to push for more conservative measures in the Senate bill.

The House bill hasn’t been sent to the Senate yet, and the Senate won’t vote on it once it arrives. The Senate has made it clear that it is writing its own bill.
