People reading this web site know that I advocated the nuclear option for a long time. The nuclear option is an abolishment of the filibuster and a vote with a simple majority of 51 senators.

Finally, President Trump started talking about it. With the nuclear option the GOP can get the whole 18 billion for the wall without giving US citizenship to any illegal aliens. This means that in order to give US citizenship to Dreamers, aka future Democrats, the Dem party will have to give other concessions, such as the end of the visa lottery and the chain migration.

So, just the threat of the nuclear option has worked and now the Dems are willing to pay 18 billion for the wall. Trump is trying to get more, such as the end of the chain migration.

Just a reminder: 1 week of the government shut down is estimated to cost 6 billion. So, 3 weeks of shutdown equals the cost of the whole wall at the Mexican border.

It would be wise for the GOP to use the nuclear option, finance the full $18 billion for the wall and all the other priorities and later make the deal with the Dems for DACA in exchange to the end to the chain migration and visa lottery.

This would be the real art of the deal!

    Local media has been casually mentioning for months now that TN will soon be a blue state. There’s a reason for these illegals being shuttled to red states. This is a modern communist invasion that was put in place by the 0bama admin. If Trump signs DACA into law it will change our way of life forever.

    I wish President Trump would show some balls.. This vote is not about DACA, it’s about funding the govt. Vote on the bill to fund the govt.! It’s time to change the status quo. DACA is a separate issue. Let it die and call the Dems bluff. Otherwise this is a post nationalist state.

    Nuclear option will still be used Feb 8. Trump has already discussed with weak spined McConnell. Looks like The people’s republic of California will be raising unemployment and taxes on everyone shortly.

    These are essential. However, MORE important than a wall is MANDATORY E-verify for both employment and all welfare, rent, non-emergency health care, tuition and other public assistance!

    This wasn’t a win.. I just found out today scum McConnell only got funding until Feb. 8.

    We have to got through this again in couple weeks.

    DACA = Democrats Against Citizens of America

    Democrats, Lindsey Graham and Jeff Flake are all traitors putting illegal aliens and foreigners ahead of U.S. citizens. They should be arrested and put on trial for sedition at the very least.

    When have the democraps compromised with republicans when they are in power? For goodness sake, we control the three branches and the GOP can’t do anything, unless is by the hand of Pres. Trump. Screw the democraps just like they told us in 2008. Which compromises did they made with the GOP for 8 years? Zero, non, zip. Pres. Trump better be using his mojo to dupe the democraps and the RINOS on DACA or the GOP is going to disfranchise a lot of the base who my not show at the polls on election date. Why in hell do we have a Constitution which is applied only when it’s to the convenience of the elitists? No to DACA or Trump loses my vote.
