Again, John McCain shows that he cannot be trusted

Posted on | May 11, 2017 | 4 Comments

Republicans voted in the Senate to repeal Obama’s methane regulation which made drilling on public lands more expensive. 3 GOP senators voted with the Democrats: John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins, and tanked the repeal of this Obama’s regulation. McCain’s actions were the most reprehensible. Collins and Graham stated in advance that they will vote with the Dems. However, McCain stated that he will vote with the GOP. So, GOP had 50 votes plus vice president to break the tie, they scheduled the vote and during the vote McCain changed sides and tanked the vote. This is sneaky, underhanded and really unprecedented. If GOP knew that McCain will side with the Dems, they would have postponed the vote, just as they did with Obamacare repeal in the House.  They would have taken more time to lobby one of 3 defectors: McCain, Graham and Collins. McCain’s dishonorable behavior not only tanked the vote, it prevented GOP from re-introducing the vote in this 115th Congress. McCain now has a reputation of a senator, whose word cannot be trusted.

McCain, Graham, and Susan Collins do not belong in the Republican party. Unfortunately, the voters in Arizona returned McCain to the Senate in the 2016 election. All three love to kiss up to Democrats. Does this mean that Obama “has the goods” on these three so he can have their strings pulled from time to time?
