Obama was Kenyan born until 2006, until he started to run

The question is : when did Obama begin to publically claim he was born in Hawaii ?

All articles prior to aug. 2006 refered to Obama as Kenyan Born. Obama was obviously ok with this birth narative

In October of 2004, during the ABC Chicago Affiliate’s broadcast of the Obama-Keyes debates, Obama openly admitted — he conceded — that he was not a natural born citizen. (C-Span aired the uncut version of the debates, which contained this exchange, in the second half of April, 2005)

In the C-Span debate Keys said something about Obama not being natural born and Obama stated that he was running for Senate – NOT POTUS.

One would like to have access to the recording, rather than taking the word of someone remembering several years later.
