Congressmen ask for Obama’s birth certificate – U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal and “several colleagues” to ask Obama to release birth certificate
The occasion was an online chat the congressman had with supporters this morning. And the question came from Tom Crawford of Capitol Impact.
Do you believe that Barack Obama is a native-born American citizen who is eligible to serve as president? I am asking because your comments on this issue have been a little ambiguous. I would appreciate your clearing this up.
At 9:17 a.m., Deal tapped out this:
I am joining several of my colleagues in the House in writing a letter to the President asking that he release a copy of his birth certificate so we can have an answer to this question.

THE PHRASE IS “NATURAL BORN” Not native born.

Can’t these Congressmen ever get this straight?
They’re falling into the same Obama-laid “red-herring” trap.
The issue is NOT “native born” or “native born citizen”, IT IS “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN” — A TOTALLY DIFFERENT THING; thus Obama may have been born in Hawaii (“native born”) but he CANNOT BE A “natural born citizen” under Article 2 of the Constitution because his dad was Kenyan/British citizen on Baby O’s birth.

Does this commentator not know the difference between native born and natural born. Naturalized means became a citizen through immigration. Native is an American Indian. Does Obama now claim he is an American Indian? Just curious as to what Indian Nation he is a member.

Uhhh, READ the Constitution! NOWHERE does it require the POTUS to be a “NATIVE-born” citizen.
NATURAL born citizen!!! Born to TWO U.S. citizen parents on U.S. soil. BLOOD & DIRT – why is that so hard to get through the thick heads???
Sounds like a bone is being tossed if you ask me.

I cannot understand why I assume educated people cannot know the difference between native born citizen and natural born citizen. I only have a high school education and I know the difference.. I looked it up. It wasn’t so hard. There is no way BO can be a natural born citizen according to the oonstitution.

Questioners better get up to speed on this, because if it turns out somehow that Obama WAS born in Hawaii or the US, the fact that he is STILL not eligible (because not a natural-born citizen) will be lost amid the general gloating on the other side.
People should mention more the fact that it is ALREADY proven that he is not eligible. His not being born in the US would merely be icing on the cake.

I agree with all of you. What in ‘Natural Born’ citizen do these people not understand? There ought to be a class on U.S. Constitution 101 which all these Senators and Congressmen have to attend before they even take office.
Let me tell you what happened to me recently. Around the first of October, I wrote an article in Letters to the Editor to be published in my local newspaper about the meaning of ‘natural born’ citizen and how come BHO doesn’t qualify to be POTUS. I waited for a couple of weeks to see if it was going to ever be published, but you can guess the answer. I sent a request to the editor asking him why my article didn’t get published and here is his reply to me. “You’re attempting to make allegations of fact that have been disapproven in several courts. We’re not going to keep doing that repeatedly.” Well, that infuriated me to no end, so I sent him back my reply. I asked him first, “In what courts are you referring to?” I went on to give him all the facts about what’s been going on with all the lawsuits and the recent Judge Carter’s ruling. I explained that BHO has never gone to trial yet for discovery of his vital records to prove if he’s a ligitmate POTUS. “All have been dismissed for lack of standing,” I told him. I asked him why doesn’t he become a true journalist and investigate BHO? Haven’t had a reply back from him yet and don’t expect one.
I hope someone is able to set Congressman Deal straight and that we not only want BHO’s LONG-FORM birth certificate but all his vital records.
Thank you again our Lady Liberty for your determination on seeing this thru until the very end. You aren’t going to let him get away with highjacking the United States of America.

I suggested to Orly that one of the Congress people should read the charges against Obama into the congressional record. That would force the Supreme Court to pay attention, and would force Congress’ hand.
If the Pentagon Papers hadn’t been read into the record by Sen. Mike Gavel, years ago, nothing would have been done about that corruption. I figure if it worked once, it may work again. We only need ONE Congress person with the guts to do it.
