to Orly, me
Your story should wake everyone in America up; unfortunately, most do not want to think about the bleakness of a Marxist/Communist regime. It seems too much to comprehend for those that have grown-up here in “freedom” and also too frightening to think that it could happen here.
My husband’s parents grew up in Estonia at the time of the Russia invasion in the early ’50′s. They fled the country, then lived in resettlement camps in Germany. After immigrating to America, they worked as sharecroppers in the south until they were able to move to the mid-west. They attended high-school(NO ESL classes!) and my father-in-law worked his way up the ladder in a large electric company. They now own 2 houses, are quite well-off financially, but NEVER, NEVER discuss what happened to them. I think they are horrified at what is going on in this country; however, the difference between them and YOU is that you are able to fight, speak, and motivate those who are paralyzed by fear. Most who have experienced those horrors only want to FORGET, not speak and fight.
God bless you for your courage to speak about what happened to you, your family, extended family members, and those you knew. It is more difficult to dismiss stories from those you know, than from a book that you read!
PLEASE! Keep telling your story from the rooftops. The media is going berserk..that is a GOOD THING.
