   Insurance Companies will say a news article and an obituary. Check with funeral homes in that area where he was. Back then Loyds of London was a great insurer of ships, etc., they may can put you on to sommething for travelers, etc. The man may have gone back to his homeland to die or after death. The ship they came in on may have been insured and passengers? They would have trouble destroying records in another country.

   The name of some of the Cohens was changed to Kagen because an immigration officer could not understand the broken english and put them down as Kagen on the roster. I believe that was in the “Chowderhead” (was it Max or Sam) group.

   I researched the form on the SSA website -

   Since this happened so long ago, there may have been a different system used.

   I recently had to go to the SSA office and found that they keep the records on file – but you would have to know the dates in order to obtain a copy.

   LIBERTY TOWN CEMETERY, which is the old cemetery, is located about a quarter mile from the main street in Liberty, Sullivan Co., NY, being separated from the new cemetery by a wide road. It is situated on a very high hill and can be seen for miles around. Probably the largest cemetery in the county and in the best condition.

   Why do you want anyone over 100 years old to be declared dead? It sounds rather cruel.

   I called the Oklahoma Dept of Health Vital Records division and was told to declare a person dead in Oklahoma it’s under Title 63 and you have to have the name of the physician or declared him dead or a person from the hospital.

    growing up I was very familiar with a funeral homes name (3 different family names combined) Recently looking in a 1964 newspaper there was an add with the same 3 family names/the add stated “we have a brand new AMBULANCE with air conditioning”….nothing in regards to being a funeral home.

    I see king obama is having a bad day today. So many Sheriff’s sent letters to say their not enforcing any new gun laws to obama that the white house needed a wheel barrels for delivery and now look arrest warrants. obama’s hitler youth squads are gearing up, insanity at it’s best. The very second obama is arrested along with all his cohort criminals, America will begin to heal.     1890, Bounel would be 123 years old. The oldest living person in known history is 122yr. The next top ten oldest in history ar 116-120yr. Safe to assume Bounel is deceased, if not he would be in the history books.
