What is the address? Is this the case where you are challenging the primary election for Secretary of State against a fellow Republican? What happens if you win since a Democrat won in the general election? Do you have to file a lawsuit against the Democrat or ask for a new general election?

I am just curious because, although Dunn got to be on the ballot, he lost.

it is a rather uncharted territory

Don’t you have a plan you can share with us? What are you expecting out of this court hearing? I’m only 50 miles from the courthouse so inquiring minds want to know if this hearing is worth attending or if it’s an exercise in futility since a Democrat already won and there is nothing you can do anymore.

I know I seem to be asking for a lot, but you are the legal expert, so I was hoping for a more detailed answer. However, if elections laws are outside your field of specialty, I understand if you don’t feel comfortable giving a full answer.

If you are too busy to write an answer here, can you post a copy of your arguments or brief on appeal?

If people show up, where do you want them to sit? Will we be able to address the judges? Can we boo the judges if they start harassing you? Have you made arrangements to have someone film the proceedings?

Does this mean that you would rather be the SoS rather than Senator? If not, what is the goal in continuing this suit?

I am still trying to figure out whether Orly, if she wins, will give up her run for the Senate, so she can pursue the position of Secretary of State. This is really harder than a Rubik’s cube! Orly?

SoS certifies election results, it’s a no brainer.

I would like to purchase a video of the hearing in Santa Ana, whatever the cost (well, maybe up to $400-$500 max). Wouldn’t the video of an appearance before a court of appeals be much more valuable than any appearance before lower courts or commissions?

Orly, if anybody is told by anyone that no video recorders are allowed in the courtroom, insist on having a preliminary hearing before the appeals panel to rule on the constitutionality of freedom of the press. After all, any blogger nowadays is considered part of the media. The court is obligated to grant your request and cannot begin the hearing until you are heard on your constitutional rights. In fact, the court should at least allow the videotaping of the preliminary hearing to allow videotaping so that you have evidence of a conspiracy to tamper with the record which will follow.
