   Orly, I have read that one of the exhibits was the DNC “Official Certification of Nomination” differing from the RNC’s version of the same certification.

   Even though that is true, did something get lost in the translation? The PRIMARY difference is that Nancy Pelosi signed TWO (2) DIFFERENT versions of the DNC’s certification.

   The first DNC certification that Nancy Pelosi (Democratic National Convention Chair), the DNC Secretary (Alice Travis Germond), and the Notary Public (Shalifa A. Williamson) signed read as follows (emphasis, except for the first four words, is mine):

   “THIS IS TO CERTIFY that at the National Convention of the Democratic Party of the United States of America, held in Denver, Colorado on August 25 through 28, 2008, the following were duly nominated as candidates of said Party for President and Vice President of the United States respectively and that the following candidates for President and Vice President of the United States are LEGALLY QUALIFIED to serve under the provisions of the United States CONSTITUTION:”

   Apparently someone soon observed that the DNC’s official certification contained the stipulation that the candidates “are legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution” and hasted to obfuscate that glaring declaration. The result was the SECOND version of the DNC’s certification, which I understand was noted in its redacted form in court yesterday:

   “THIS IS TO CERTIFY that at the National Convention of the Democratic Party of the United States of America, held in Denver, Colorado on August 25 through 28, 2008, the following were duly nominated as candidates of said Party for President and Vice President of the United States respectively:”

   The same trio (Pelosi, Germond, Williamson) signed the redacted version and dated it, like the original version, “28TH day of August, 2008.”

   JB Williams’s original article about the two DNC certifications is dated September 10, 2009. Below his original, he UPDATED that article a day later, correcting some, and adding new, information. If you already have all the information, including Williams’s corrections and additions, and it was reported incorrectly online, I apologize for butting in.
