Dr. Orly,
Using IP tracing sounds like a good idea, but I’m not sure how practical it is.
https://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/71.112.165.151
This morning this ip_trace takes you to a residential area in Everett Washington, not a commercial address. It is near exit 192 on Interstate 5. Google earth shows it on the east side of the interstate.
In google earth:
https://maps.google.com/maps?ll=47.94682,-122.19787&z=19&t=h&hl=en
I’m not sure how accurate these locations are since they are arrived at via an ip address. Not all ip address are static, meaning they can change from day to day, but I think you can be fairly certain this one is in Everett!
https://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer was also reasonable in locating my address, as in, within 8 miles in the wide open country. Still the address is located somewhere within roughly 200 sq miles if it is always within 8 miles. In my area, it would get you within a few thousand people. In the city, the density is much greater so I’m not sure it will be of much use to common internet users. Law enforcement may have tools which track with more accuracy, maybe. Unfortunately I think this only gets you close. I think it is safe to say the emails are coming from Everett.
I don’t know if you can put pressure on verizon.net to monitor emails originating from this location. I think Law enforcement should be able to. I would consider these emails a hate crime or a domestic terrorist threat since they appear to be threatening all of us.
Stand firm, and God Bless you.
