Orly – I have a website that I just set-up regarding the boycott of MSM advertisers. I agree, hit them in the pocket book. That’s the ONLY way they will understand. |

Terrific ! I for one have been irritated for quite some time about MSMs incessant bombarding the cable subscribers with unsolictited SPAM,These MSMs are being paid by the advertiser and the cable subscriber is paying as well. Now we come to the point that these MSMs selectively decide what information they will allow the paying public to know and this in itself is an outrage and a very dangerous situation to my belief.I don’t expect the MSMs to pass judgement on the news but I do expect them to report it.This poster is absolutely right,When the advertising dollar stops, the MSMs will get right.

MSM=”Main Stream Media” So, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, MSNBC, FoxNews, CNN, CNN Headline News, UPN, WB, TNT, TBS, ESPN, Disney, Cartoon Network, etc., etc.? Plus the major newspapers like the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Baltimore Sun Herald, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Miami Herald, Denver Post, Wall Street Journal, USAToday, etc., etc.? Plus magazines like Time, Newsweek, People, Us, etc., etc.? Plus the radio networks and stations operated by either the large multi-station holders?
And which advertisers on these few thousand media (TV, radio, newspapers, magazines) outlets? Only the national ones (like Macys and MacDonalds), or the local ones (my corner Greek restaurant and the tire dealership in my town), as well?
I’m serious. If you want to boycott Carls, Jr. (a hamburger chain, and major aggregate employer, that’s big in California) simply because they have the good business sense to advertise on the TV channels and newspapers that reach their broadest target audience in the geographic areas they operate, go right ahead. But I’ll be darned if I’ll boycott Hardee’s (a hamburger chain and major aggregate employer, that’s big in the Southeastern U.S.), or my local auto repair shop, or the lovely little dress shop downtown–where my daughter works to put herself through college, as well as to put food on the table for my grandchildren–for some political reason, or some perceived insult. or simply because they ALSO have the good business sense to advertise in/on the “mainstream media” outlets that actually bring in business and save those businesses and the jobs of the people they employ. Am I going to change my auto insurance policy from AllState to something else (and what kind of auto insurance policy from what kind of company that doesn’t advertise would I get) after having been their satisfied policyholder for more than 20 years, simply because they advertise on some TV or radio station, or in some newspaper or magazine that is “mainstream”? No, I’m not–because the viable alternatives (Geico, Progressive, State Farm) are ALSO advertising on that same “mainstream media.” In an economic time when local businesses (and the jobs of the people employed in those businesses) are going belly-up, am I going to “boycott” the little Greek restaurant, which employs 40 of my town’s residents, and which is already struggling to keep going, simply because they scraped together enough money to have a 15-second commercial on our local NBC affiliate at 11:45 p.m.? No, I’m not.
It’s one thing to ask for a boycott of advertisers for a specific television program, such as Rachel Maddow’s program. That’s limited, and reasonable (maybe–I wouldn’t know, since I don’t watch that program, and don’t know who the advertisers are, and I don’t plan on watching it just to find out who the Maddow program sponsors might be, so I can boycott them. That would be pretty silly).
But to suggest a boycott of EVERY advertiser/sponsor on EVERY mainstream media outlet (TV, radio, newspaper, magazine) just makes no sense to me.
On the other hand, you can sign me right up for the Carls, Jr. boycott. I’m probably 2,000 miles from the closest one, and no one in my town is depending on them for a job. No problem. I’m in.

If you don’t want to boycott a “favorite” product or manufacturer, then contact them & tell them tell them about this nationwide movement. They may have some PULL with the networks. That is the aim. We want the media to discuss the important issues to our country instead of the usurper’s propaganda. The news media is guilty of biased news by omission.
AT&T, Netflix, & a few others are companies we do business with on a regular basis. I intend to contact them. We’re under contract with AT&T. But Silk Soy Milk & Rooms To Go were obnoxious with their ads yesterday.
Good luck!

Also, Las Vegas advertised on one of the four propaganda shows yesterday. They have suffered enough from the usurper’s statements & the news media’s avoidance or minimal chastising of his stmts. I do not recommend a boycott against them. They have lost much revenue due to cancellations of conventions.

I have received many replies that say they are careful to advertise during family oriented programs … blah blah blah. Reply to them by asking if supporting those that support gay marriage, and late term abortions isn’t exactly family oriented!
