A message to all members of Tea Party Nation

Twenty one centuries ago, the Jews of ancient Israel were oppressed by the Syrian King Antiochus.   Twenty one centuries ago, the thirst for freedom existed then as it does today.  Then, the jews of that era rose up and won their freedom.
For those not familiar with the tradition, Antiochus had defiled the Jewish Temple.  The Jews went to rededicate the temple but found they had only enough consecrated oil to burn for one day.  Miraculously, the oil burned for eight days, which was enough time for them to press fresh olive oil for the lamps.  Today this is celebrated around the world as Hanukkah, or the festival of lights.
Tonight is the first night of the festival of lights and from Tea Party Nation to all of our Jewish friends, we wish you a Happy Hanukkah!
