The whole world knows the truth: that CT and Hawaii have zip codes that are just one digit off and a simple typo or mis-reading caused President Obama to be issued a SSN for CT.

Golly gee, he used it to file his taxes!

 More clarification on Obama’s use of a stolen Social Security number from CT. He used it as recently as this year to file his 2009 tax returns. When we’ll have one judge with a drop of shame and integrity and honesty to care about the fact, that we have a president, committing social security fraud and identity theft? One judge? Anywhere?

    No Orly, the zip code where he lived at the time it was issued is one digit off from the zip code in CT. This type of mistake happened often, and sometimes for even less obvious reasons. No, they do not “correct” it later as it is not important. Once you are issued a number, you keep it, even if there was a typo during the issuance.

    If I look my name up in the data bases your investigators used I can find multiple people with my first, middle, and last name, with various SSN’s. Sometimes they have my name and SSN with a different birth date, or correct birth date but wrong SSN, or assign my relatives to another person with my name, or list me as living in towns or even states where I have never resided.

    That is why those data bases are clearly labeled as not being responsible for their own accuracy. Because they are NOT accurate. The companies that maintain them state themselves that the data cannot be used to verify anything, and that they will not testify in court in any circumstances, as the information is not reliable.

    this is complete nonsense. Obama’s number is 042-68-4425. HI numbers start with 585 and 586. It is not even close.

    The typo would be in the zip code, not the SSN.
    CN zip code 06XXX, relevant Hawaii zip code 96XXX.

    No one would have ever needed to correct it, it is not an important mistake, but an outdated book keeping measure.
