Lesson here for all American Moms and Dads: if your children’s teacher is a MUSLIM (find out if you don’t know) pull them out of class! This isn’t ‘prejudice’ or ‘intolerance’ it’s self-preservation.

Protect your precious little ones, parents…

Update. Outraged parents already have reported it . This is the response in the local paper from the Superintendent:
    ——
“It was not the intent for students to be able to participate in any of the religious practices,” Superintendent Bella Wong wrote in a letter being sent to parents later today. “I extend my sincere apologies for the error that occurred and regret the offense it may have caused.”

“These activities provide experiences for our students that enhance their understanding of the curriculum,” Wong wrote in the letter. “The purpose of the field trip was for students to observe a place of worship.”

Wong said prior to the video being released her department hadn’t received complaints regarding the field trip though one family declined to allow their child on the trip.

“Apparently someone wasn’t happy and it just took some time for it to come back to us,” she said.

It seems more than ONE person was unhappy.

The news stories talk about how this mosque visit was after the same class visited a synagogue and places for several other religions. Does anyone know if the kids joined in at any of the Jewish, Christian, or Hindu places that they visited?

we have separation of state and church. Why are the children taken to places of worship. It is up to their parents to take them to places of worship, not school. One of my sons took AP comparative religion in High school. This is different. It is a college level class, however the schools are underfunded, U.S. schoolchildren are doing poorly on math and science tests. The schools need to concentrate on math and science, be mindful of the separation of state and church, and the parents should take their children to places of worship

“did they cancel the trip for future students or does the brainwashing continue?”

Nope, still doing it. A quote from the article :

We’re giving better guidance to our teachers. I don’t know if they’ll do [the field trip] differently but it won’t necessarily be because of this,” she said. “I support the field trip, I support them being able to go to observe; I do think allowing kids to participate in the prayer crossed the line.”

In the 70s I took a world religions course and we visited an evangelical Christian church, a catholic church, a synagogue and a Buddhist temple. We would have gone to a mosque if there had been one near at that time. We didn’t just visit we went to services. This was high school and it was a very enlightening course. As an episcopalian which is liturgical I could see all of the trappings that we took from the Jewish faith in our services. I realized we are all tied together and there are more simalarities than you think. Even with Islam.

did you see the video and the pictures? these are not high school children, these are young kids. I studied different religions as well, but did it on my own as a mature adult, when I can read all the cos and pros. A comparative religions course is o’k in college, maybe high school, but young children should not be brainwashed in different religions.

I took my younger Sunday school class to synagogue. I’ve always been taught and believe that there is no fear in teaching children of other religions or allowing them to be exposed to other religions. If you don’t want your child to go don’t sign the permission slip. You realize that the parents had to approve their children leaving the school campus and going to the mosque, right?
