    Actually, his ratings went down about 35% when he started talking about birthers and the birth certificate. They had no choice but to let him go. Hispanics had boycotted him as well, also causing his ratings to nosedive.

    “BIRTH CERTIFICATE” “BIRTH CERTIFICATE!” HE SCREAMS
    THAT DOC MUST BE PRODUCED ONLY TO CONFIRM HIS PLACE OF BIRTH AND PARENTAGE SO AS TO DETERMINE WHETHER HE IS EVEN A “CITIZEN”
    HOWEVER, AS ANY MORON SHOULD KNOW; IF B.O. Jr IS , INDEED, THE SON OF B.O. SENIOR THEN HE CAN NEVER BE AN ARTICLE II ‘NATURAL BORN CITIZEN FOR HE WAS BORN OWING ALLEGIANCE TO A FOREIGN SOVEREIGNTY AND WAS NOT SUBJECT TO THE COMPLETE JURISDICTION OF THE U.S. GOV’T AT BIRTH

    Dobbs is a traditional news reporter willing to follow where a story leads. As for the claim that his ratings went down because of his birther coverage it is not really so. The day of his July 28 “Lou Dobbs Tonight” his rating were 697,000 and the next day his ratings were down only a marginal 9,000 viewers. However, the day after that, his ratings were up significantly 148,000 viewers to 845,000!
