A heads up on a special that airs tonight at 7 p.m. (EST):

The host is MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and the documentary is called “Rise of the New Right.” The program zones in on what they are calling “extreme conservative movements” (such as the Tea Party) and “takes a hard look at the recent surge of anger on the political right.”

Questions he asks: “Who are the people on the New Right? What do they want? And how do they intend to get it?”

The doc features interviews with former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, Orly Taitz, unofficial leader of the Birthers, to internet radio host Alex Jones. The program accessed to the Michigan Militia’s survival training camp and followed Rand Paul months before he surfaced on the national radar.
