THE BIG IDEA: Much of the concern that Republican senators expressed yesterday about the draft health-care bill felt more like political posturing than genuine threats to torpedo the effort.

Since our spineless, treacherous career weasels Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and their “moderate” RINO coterie are again hell-bent on betraying us by reneging on their loud and oft-repeated promises to repeal obamacare (“Trust us. If you elect us, THIS time we will really DO what we have been promising you for years.”), instead of all the political hassle and strife of repealing obamacare, Ann Coulter suggested an excellent, far simpler and less divisive solution. Instead of repealing obamacare, leave it intact and simply enact a law that says “In America, it shall be legal to sell health insurance on the free market. This law supersedes all other laws, taxes, mandates, coverage requirements, regulations or prohibitions, state or federal.”
In addition to avoiding all the hassle and strife of repealing obamacare and not requiring thousands of pages and people to implement and administer, this has the following benefits:
• As this leaves obamacare intact, this will allow people who actually like obamacare and want to stay on it to do so. Nothing is being repealed or taken away. “If you LIKE your insurance, you can KEEP your insurance!”
• This will also allow others with special needs and/or limited budgets “to choose among a variety of health insurance plans offered by willing sellers competing with one another” to provide the coverage they desire “at the lowest price. A nation-wide market in health insurance will drive down costs and improve access like everything else we buy in America!” Why should insurance be any different?
Bravo, Ann! A simple, win-win solution that would finally, at long last, honor RINO broken promises! Let’s DO IT!

Does this particular edition of Obama care Lite mandate those who don’t sign up pay the penalty or is it waived?
